Christmas time!

Finally I can sleep longer in the mornings and possibly catch up with myself. Lack of sleep in combination with a really bad cold and a stressful pace in school has made me look hollow. I have grown really worried for my personal health lately. Hopefully it clears up now on my Christmas break. The last one before things get serious. *Sigh* Depressing...

So what am I gonna do on my break then?
  1. Sleep
  2. Produce a second (really a first - new topic) ToK draft
  3. Produce a first full Extended draft
  4. Do a hell of a lot of lab reports:
  5. 4 Biology reports
  6. 1 Physics report
  7. 1/2 Chemistry report
  8. Polish my personal statement
  9. Sort my papers
  10. Complete my science portfolios (meaning finding all the reports and organising them)
  11. Read 30 pages in Doktor Glas by Hjalmar Söderberg
  12. Find ideas and plan a speech for english lesson
  13. Start revising:
  14. Physics
  15. Chemistry
  16. Biology
  17. Play playstation (been longing for that)
  18. Solve sodoku's (that too)
  19. Gameboy (I know, I know)
  20. Read, read, read (I'm in love with Eddings)
  21. Perform at New Years
  22. Spend a little more than a week with Karl.
  23. Turn 19!!!

Oh my God! Was that all? 13 out of 26 points are related to school. I thought it was way more to do. Hmm, strange. My plans for this break was to start doing these things (the schoolwork) on my list ASAP, i.e. already starting yesterday. But my mum convinced me that I deserved at least one day completely off. So I did nothing yesterday. I felt extremely guilty and almost went crazy fort doing nothing. Imagine how it will be in June!

As an IB2 student I come home from school, turn on the PC, doing school work, eat, walk the dog once, continue to work, taking a shower, head off to bed and fall asleep before the head hits the pillow, waking up too late rushing to school. Then the cycle starts all over again, unless it's weekend. Everything is pretty much pure routine. Sad huh?

So, these two last weeks has been very stressful as you might have gathered. On top of it all I had a lot of performances with the choir I joined. Last week we had Lucia performance, the church one went really good, but the performance we did in the morning at a company here in town... Well it was all crap. At the two performances in church a total of five girls sat down because they 'nearly' passed out. No wonder - with candles held high and near the face what did they expect? Damn fjortisar

Well anyway, after that (Lucia was wed 13th) I really got sick. I felt it coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I didn't have the time to feel anything. Unfortunately the cold affected my vocal chord, so i've been really hoarse. First my throat was aching so I thought it was just a regular cold, but however when my aching subsided I was still left with a hoarse voice. Now with only a slight cough I am still hoarse and loses my voice at some points. No singing for me =(

Last but not least I want to tell you about what happens in 5 days time (28th). The Cambridge Guy a.k.a. Karl is coming over to celebrate New Year and my birthday with me and my family. I am so looking forward to it =). We are gonna have soo much fun. Going for town, ice-skating, Turning torso, Öresundsbron, City tunneln, possibly Köpenhamn och ströget, even Höllviken, and much more. Feel free to give me suggestions what a person from abroad might appreciate.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

ps. Right btw I promise to make this blog a whole lot nicer and post more pictures in my blog. Possibly a Nyårslöfte

Ciao!
