Check!

It took quite some time to finish off, my room. But here I am again after being done since 19.30. Played a few games of chess with the little ones. they've been having chess pratice in school for the last couple of fridays now, and they are invited to play in a competition in the end of march. So Jonathan asked me if I wanted to be the team leader. Mum wrote that I could support the kids and come with them on the note they are going to hand to their teacher and then we'll see what happens.

I didn't mean to sound superior, but I guess I acidentally did so when mum asked if we really was supposed to start a game of chess ten minutes before I was going to eat and I said yes. Well five minutes later I had Jonathan in check mate. I used my former chess skills from 2nd and 3rd grade and made the easiest set of moves which ends up in school mate (skol matt). Apparently they weren't taught that move. Surprising actually as it was one of the first set of moves I was taught by my chess club. Well anyway i taught them both how to move and then I played against Nikitha. I think I got her in a school mate too. As we had a tournament I played Jonathan after he won over Nikitha. this time he did as well as he could to get me in school mate but I blocked him and won with tower movements in the end.

Actually I am going to ask them if they want me to train them. Jonathan asked if I still had my chess books, and I think I do. Nostalgic and all I think I am going to start to play more chess now. Really I was far from skilled but during those two years I competed in at least three competitions.

I am working tomorrow between 12-20. I hate to have eight hour shifts in the middle of the day, but I guess it's far more better than having a closing shift, and I need to work to get money to spend. I am longing for the next pay which is due friday. Can't wait! But most of the money is already spent on mind shopping. I ordered some clothes of the internet yesterday, it was real cheap. 50% of the sale price so including the sending costs and all that, I need to pay 370 kronors for 8 items, yay! I am also going to pay a great deal towards my drivers license and some bills.

Chaos

I have a day off today. My plans was to do nothing at all but I changed my mind a while ago because I got really pissed off by the mess I've left my room in.I acidentally poured molten stearin on my chair and floor, and I can't really clean it up until I have space enough on the floor to kneel down and scrub it. So I decided to finally clean my room. I have started if you are wondering, I'm just taking a short break. Next thing that pissed me off was that I spilled some water on the floor when I watered my flowerpots, and of course since my room isn't clean the items lying on the floor got wet.

Other plans for today is to maybe sort out all my old papers from my IB years, and to work a bit more on my pussle. Well I got to continue cleaning now, I guess I'll be back when I take my nexct short break

Second driving lesson

Had another double drivers lesson yesterday. But with another teacher. I felt more comfortable with him than I did with the first one, so I phoned the driving school when I came home and said I wanted to switch to the teacher I had yesterday. Afterwards I felt really sorry for the other teacher, but I should really think of myself and my comfortness in such a situation. The lesson went really well even yesterday. I drove on a lonely street somewhere in Pildammsparken, where I practised the changing of gears both up to 3rd and down again. The goal was to manage to change without difficulty and to do it smoothly. After I managed that I drove among more cars on the roads just outside the street we were driving on and I was also surprised this time by my performance. I thought I sucked at sticks before but I actually like it.

When I came home I was so inspired that I made my mum drive with me, in an automatic car (we only have automatic cars).

Yesterday I had my first ever driving lesson at a driving school, and it went... well!
I was positively sure that I would have too much problems with drving a manual car since I've been driving an automatic car most of the times I've been on the road before.

He asked me how much I've been driving and I told him that I've been driving at least 20 times or more but definitely not regurlarly and mostly on parking lots and a few times home from the parking lots. so he asked me if I wanted to drive from the school, but I declined due to safety reasons (my last encounter with a manual car was disastrous)

The car didn't stop one single time ecxept when it was intended to stop. Back at the driving school i signed up for more lessons and the theoretical test. It is scheduled for the 3rd of march, yay I'm so happy. Been studying the book all day today, I checked that I still knew the three chapters I studied last summer and I did with a few exceptions.

You can bet I will continue and finish this chapter I'm studying right now (the thickest chapter) tomorrow when I have another day off.

Nighty nite

Bored?

I've been thinking of starting a project here on my blog, or at least I want to call it a project. The thought hit me and I can't get rid of it. So keep a weary eye out for my project.

Whining and retelling

I was home around 3.30 that closing shift. Me and Gabriel just missed our train, bummer! I got some training of how to close the kitchen on the thursday, but even more so on the nightshift I had during the weekend after, the very same weekend I celebrated my 20th birthday. I won't complain too much on the nightshift itself because it was very slow and quiet.

Friday night after 12 (saturday morning really!) I got hugged by Emmie and Emma kept calling me old all night. Jack made me a birthday... cake/ice cream and put a bag over his head and serverd customers, apparently to my honour. I brought up my camera which I luckily had in my bag. Emmie was responsible for the pictures all night, and she took some pictures. Sometimes Ricky and the guys in the Kitchen borrowed it and I don't know how many crazy pictures I actually have from that night.

When I got home around 9 (the restaurant closed at 6 and we are supposed to be done until 7, means I'm home around 8 normally) I got breakfast on the table, hugs and presents. Two Sims 2 games and a home made voucher for the decoration of my room, awesome! Then an hour later I was off to bed. and slept most of the day. i don't remember what we did later at night (I have such a bad memory these days) but I know I was woken up around 14 and told that I had to phone work and tell them that Alexandra was not able to show up at work because she fell and hurt her foot because the ground became suddenly frozen and slippery, like an ice skating rink.

I became extra precautious when the snow started to fall and when my parents told me they strongly advised on the radio that everyone should stay inside, unless it was really necessary to get out. So I left the bike at home and walked to the train station in the snow, hoping the train would run despite the snow.

The train arrived, however 10 minutes delayed, but all three of us (me, Emmie and Gabriel) made it to that train and in time to work. I was met by an envelope and a baked chocolate cake as it still was my birthday at 23.00 on that saturday 5th of January. That nightshift was a little bit faster with more people. Still we weren't done until like 7.45 or something like that. Then home and into bed.

I worked on the monday and got wednesday off, worked on thursday. Friday the eleveth it was payday and luckily I was off. This day's main point was shopping spree. New computer, new mobile phone, new mousemat and socks for my ipod. Later on that day I sold my old mobile phone to a family friend's computershop and in return I got a 4 Gb USB memory and a 1 Gb memory card for my camera. On top of that I bought some candles and a thank you and good luck present for my mum on IKEA, and I got from my mum (part of the voucher) two candle holders in gold for my decoration project (my room). In total with the money I put away for the train card and the money I pay my parents to stay in the house, I almost spend 10000 swedish kronors on just one day.

The rest of friday was used to install my computer and install all the components and Sims 2, and to explore the new mobile phone. Yesterday I kept exploring and worked 5 hours in the evening.

Closing shift

I'm off to work in a moment. Closing shift! The worst part is that we have to close everything in the kitchen from now on. The people responsible for it was fired in the end of 2007, and since it is all new to us it takes a while longer to close everything. I was told that the 1st of Januar, when they first closed it all by themself, it took two hours after the restaurant closed.

I hope it goes quicker today otherwise I will be home around 3.30 tonight
